2017 Members Player of the Year

Overcoming a strong comeback from the Bulldogs, the Roosters made it two from two against the Canterbury outfit with a 24-18 win in Round 11.

Yet again it was a tight poll for Members player of the year with a few standout performers.

Members have followed the lead of the State of Origin selectors and your Members player of the game for Round 11 is…..Mitchell Pearce! With the try that sealed the match, a try assist and line break, it was a well-deserved award for the halfback who will represent his state in 2017.

With another great attacking performance on the wing including a try and 178 metres gained, Daniel Tupou was voted second by Members this week, moving to 5 points overall. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was voted third and sit on 5 points with Tupou.

With another player of the week performance, Pearce has now joined Boyd Cordner as the overall leader.

The current standings following Round 11 are as follows:

1st – Boyd Cordner – 15 points

1st – Mitchell Pearce – 15 points

2nd – Luke Keary – 8 points

3rd – Michael Gordon – 7 points

4th – Daniel Tupou – 5 points

4th – Jared Waerea-Hargreaves – 5 points

In Round 12 your Roosters travel down the Hume Highway to take on the Canberra Raiders. The match will be played at GIO Stadium on Sunday 28th May, kick-off at 4pm.
